I’m a smaller person. My build is built on a diet, exercise, and good health for the most part. For this weekend, I wanted to combine all of those things. I got the pick between 5Ks, 10Ks, and 5K races. My partner and I ended up settling on the Central Park Run, because of its beautiful route, short physical distance, and the cost of the registration fee.
If I were five years younger, this course wouldn’t have slipped my mind in the first place. Central Park is my favorite park in the city. I love trying new things in New York City.
The walkthrough of Central Park that day was not my favorite part.
Running trails through Central Park while my body rested seemed a bit ridiculous. Honestly, I’m still trying to figure out why I ran in that park.
LOVE WITH NEIGHBOURHOOD!
I have heard it said that my ancestry in this country is alive and well due to those same families’ endeavors to improve themselves through running. It sure seems like a worthwhile topic to explore, but right now I’m just not even interested in the potential discussion.
For a look at some of the best runners I’ve seen at the Central Park Run, you can check out those runners below:
Running my first 10K this week was exhilarating. I was excited and a little nervous. When I started, I was thinking there was a good chance of breaking my run time. For the most part, I felt really good about how well I ran.
All in all, I like to think of myself as super active. Life as a person in the United States comes at a price. Being passionate about something can be a serious risk. It’s a little easier to deal with when your community has been good to you.
