why gender inequality in our society?
indeed happen to learn by example (by definition), which applies to me more than any other. I don’t think I have learned by observation. I've learned by association.
In my youth and early adulthood, I’ve known few people who haven’t been unemployed. Part of me feels a bit alienated and fearful. I feel I haven’t been ignored but I also feel invisible. There’s something disorienting and confusing about it. What is the value of doing something that others say you can’t do?
These experiences are quintessential realities. We are all individuals and our values don’t map to what others think you should want. Society wants the best version of you.
What some people may think is life is a game. Others may think you’re crazy and scared. But I’m convinced there’s good, meaningful, and creative stuff we can be doing. It’s just what we choose not to do.
If we are to experience any intrinsic value in the economy or community then it's through the kind of work we do — in healthy communities, in our industry, in our political system. We’re going to get nowhere on this planet or we will continue to get things that move in the wrong direction.
SOCIETY!
We really need to contribute more to society if we are to be healthy and prosperous in the future.
We have to do a better job of gathering information, following up, understanding our actions, and coordinating our activities so we can impact people’s lives more positively.
We need to build better organizations and policies that eliminate irrational political behavior, create good workplace environments, enable an equitable workforce, and put people first — so that people can actually benefit from their contributions.
We have to come together more, unite behind greater common challenges and engage more.
