why we need cleanliness near our surroundings?
Words are easy, devices are hard. Companies can be spread out in a space that feels endless and open, which makes things confusing. The biggest problem we face is that small businesses do not have the scale to invest in technologies that can help get their business to the next level. The easiest way to tackle this issue is to be able to move beyond the mess of small talk, hype, pitches, business cards, meetings, webinars, and fun and funky reviews to get a better grasp of what’s actually happening. By not just looking at 2-dimensional data, but applying fundamental machine learning techniques to their daily lives, we can see what’s possible. So what are those simple applications where these applications are something that the individual is already doing in their everyday lives? Let’s look at a few applications of machine learning where many are applying AI, have already made a leap in time, or have shifted to cloud computing.
Online Chatbots
This is most commonly applied to web screens, but you can see that applying these methods to the actual concept of a conversation is quite natural. In the real world, the end goal is to have someone be able to talk to a bot that is providing real answers to their queries. Providing a bot with your face so that it can respond to your simple questions is a great way to scale this. Here’s an example of a chatbot answering customers’ questions in different ways, which you can see here: http://tinyurl.com/qbls0yek
Relay, for instance, has made some progress in creating better computer vision — the idea behind this is that chatbots need to be able to understand their users’ activities in order to be effective, so basically, this is only the beginning. You can see that they’ve been using machine learning in some of their designs so far, such as some very impressive recency performance (yay!), but the prospect of bringing in actual computer vision to really help with your queries is mind-blowing.
One problem that remains to be solved in AI is that there is currently no simple prediction model or diagnosis method for what could be one of the most common diseases, influenza. Vaccines are also a growing pain point so that a practical ability to combine both will be extremely impressive, and a fantastic start for AI to reach a level that can potentially be presentable to the general public.
In the old days, not many people had the time to be able to go to a store and potentially speak to a human being, so how about we form our own chatbot? That’s not really realistic, so might we consider some other virtual chatbots that can offer something a little better than a basic phone number? It may seem like a waste of time, but here are a few examples of more self-service virtual bots: https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/15/artificial-intelligence/can-artificial-intelligence-please-voters.html
